Vision

               Sustainable and efficient installation and maintenance of mechanical structures and machinery of the Irrigation department for the enhanced productivity in Irrigation schemes, Inland navigation and Flood control.

Mission

•    To fabricate and maintain shutters, hoisting mechanisms and sluice structures of Dams.
•    To fabricate and maintain shutters, hoisting mechanisms and trash racks of Irrigation canals.
•    To fabricate and maintain lock gates and operating mechanisms in navigation canals.
•    To fabricate and maintain mechanical structures of SWBs, Weirs, Regulators etc in rivers and water bodies.
•    To procure and maintain machineries needed by the department.
•    Operation of dredger fleet and dredging works.
•    To provide technical assistance to all the Government departments for the maintenance of Departmental vehicles and machinery. 
•    To hire out departmental machinery like dredgers, weed harvester, silt pusher, long reach excavator etc. for departmental and private works.
